Paying your rent

Your rent must be paid in three termly instalments, in advance. The deposit and first instalment are payable before arrival. The balance of the rental fees is then payable in two further instalments. For 2007/08 the due dates are 14th January 2008 and 21st April 2008.

The first instalment must be paid by debit or credit card or by a bank transfer. Subsequent payments must be made by bank transfer, debit or credit card, UK Bankers draft, sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank account or sterling traveller’s cheques. Bankers drafts should be made payable to Touareg Trust Rent Account. If your account is in arrears, payment by sterling cheque will not be accepted.

Please note that Touareg will not accept cash or Housing Benefit payments under any circumstances.

Failure to pay

If you have problems paying your rent, please speak to the Paragon manager and/or your university or college welfare department as soon as possible to discuss your options.

Please see your Resident’s Licence agreement for information about regulations relating to late payment of your rent.
